From your teachers
From your friends and lovers
From school and tv
From culture and society

Enlightenment
Is letting go
Of all the things
That you don’t need
Don’t want
Don’t deserve
With each breath
Letting it go
Back to the shadows
Back into the dark
Letting it go
Getting rid of the weight
Getting lighter
With each breath
With each exhale
Letting it all go

And holding it all tight
