This is a poem,
But it’s not very good
I didn’t want to write it
But thought that I should

The rhythm is suspect
The rhyme scheme’s ok
The structure is basic
It just tends to stray

It doesn’t say much
There’s no topic, true
But now that I wrote it
I’ll share it with you

So here is my poem
For good or for bad,
If I’d kept it inside,
I’d be really quite sad.
